If you are playing on Nintendo Switch and you get “Cannot connect to the server” errors when trying to play online, first make sure that your Switch console is set to the correct date.
(If it’s set to an incorrect date, especially a future date, this can make all SSL certificate checks fail, which immediately kills the server connection.)
