Summary: It seems the font used in the german version of the game is missing the character ‘ß’ (also know as “Eszett” or “scharfes S”) or its capital version.
Steps to reproduce:
Switch to german version.
Watch a video
Look at the “Close” button.
Expected Results: Seeing the word SCHLIEßEN
Actual Results: Seeing the word SCHLIEßEN, but the ‘ß’ is replaced by another letter.
This might be one of the weirdest things I know off the top of my head, but that’s actually considered an alternate form of ß! ß is supposed to be a ligature of ſs (long s and short s) but in this case it’s a more literal ligature of the long s with a tailed z: ſʒ (as the name would suggest).
On the other hand, it’s also not unreasonable to prefer a more familiar version of the glyph for people who do not consider typography a hobby, heh
