Logitech F310 gamepad on PC is not being recognized as a XBOX360 controller

Title:

Logitech F310 gamepad on PC is not being recognized as a XBOX360 controller

Summary:

When using the Logitech F310 gamepad to play Fantasy Strike, the button configuration screen and tutorial graphics still display Playstation-style buttons (Square, Triangle, etc). Going into options and changing “Help text icons” to “XBOX” does not solve the problem.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Connect Logitech F310 controller to PC via USB
  2. Load the game, go into the tutorial or to button configuration screen
  3. Note that the button graphics / positions are still in Playstation mode.

Expected Results:

The Logitech F310 is a very popular XBOX-protocol PC gamepad. It features the same button colors / labels as an XBOX360 pad.

Actual Results:

The Logitech F310 gamepad is being treated as a Playstation-compatible controller in the game. This makes the tutorial and the button configuration screen very confusing.

Notes:

I think the USB/DEVICE ID for the Logitech F310 just needs to be added to the game’s code so that the game recognizes it as a XBOX-style gamepad.
